I gave up trying to make this pasta dish until I recently found fresh fava beans at a local Italian market. While there, surprisingly fava beans were in season, ( so early!) and a small restaurant we loved featured them in a fresh pasta dish.   4. Mix well, add half cup pasta water and keep mixing on a high heat for about a minute. Shut off the heat and add Parmesan cheese and extra olive oil. Mix well and serve.
