Native soup can be cooked light or thick depending on what you like. Colloquially, Marugbo soup is called "Ondo native soup or Ondo black soup" in English. Marugbo soup is popularly eaten with Pupuru, Garri or pounded yam and is often prepared for pregnant.

Instructions to make Native soup:
  1. Wash goat meat.and boil with your stockfish.onions salt and seasoning cubes.
  2. When meat is done,.add in palm oil let it boil for 5to 10minutes. Then add in your cocoyam paste in balls and let it cook for another 10to 15minutes until the paste dissolves
  3. Next add.your ground yellow pepper. (Remember to add some uziza seed to your pepper before pounding.) it gives the soup a distinct taste), add thoroughly washed and deboned panla fish and crayfish.
  4. Check that the taste is okay if not, u can adjust with seasoning cubes or salt according to ur taste
  5. Lastly add ur sliced uziza leaves. Simmer for 2minutes. viola ur native soup is ready.
  6. Serve with semo pounded yam or eba
