Ofe onugnu is similar to the Camerounian Ndole. Blend the crayfish alongside red pepper and set aside.   4. Add ede, bitter leaf and palm oil then add crayfish, Cameroon pepper, yellow pepper, Ogiri, seasoning cubes and salt, stir very well
  5. Continue Cooking until the ede dissolves and thickens and the bitter leaf is soft.
  6. Pour the meat and taste for salt and adjust the ingredients as bitter leaf need enough ingredients
  7. Cover and allow to simmer for 5 mins and enjoy with fufu or any swallow
  8. Pour meat stock inside the pot add Stockfish, dry fish and cook until tender
  9. Add ede, bitter leaf and palm oil then add crayfish, Cameroon pepper, yellow pepper, Ogiri, seasoning cubes and salt, stir very well

  12. Cover and allow to simmer for 5 mins and enjoy with fufu or any swallow

Bitter leaf Soup also known as (Ofe Onugbu / Obe efo Elewuro or Miyan shuwaka) is a delicious traditional Nigerian soup. It is prepared with a bitter leaf (Vernonia amygdalina) and although the name suggest that it is a bitter soup, that's not the case.
