  9. Add salt, biryani masala and all spices (garam masala) and cook on medium heat until chicken gets tender.
  10. Take a same pot, add make layers.
  11. Once layering is done. Add yellow food colour on top and let it rest for 15 to 20 minutes on low flame.
  12. Punjabi biryani is ready. Serve hot with raita.
