In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, bacon, egg, cheese, garlic, basil, parsley, salt, pepper and breadcrumbs. This is essentially a bacon cheeseburger in meatball form. In a large bowl, combine steak, ground beef, cooled bacon and onions, cheese, eggs, bread crumbs and salt, and mix lightly but thoroughly by hand.

6. Roll the mixture into balls and cover with bacon, secure with a toothpick.
7. Pour oil into an oven save dish and place the meatballs evenly in the dish. Bake in the oven for 20 - 30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy. (You can fry them on the stove top as well but I find that they break easily.)

I had some leftover beef and cheese…and yes, even bacon so this just made sense! What is really great about these meatballs is that they have a different flavor than most meatballs that I have tried.
